Extrinsic provides commercial research and analysis services, based upon publicly available information and open source intelligence. We are particularly interested in matters of trade regarding “NZ Inc.”, and the impact that events in other countries might have on that trade.
As part of our intelligence work, we often receive information that is of more general interest. We always conduct a preliminary analysis to see if there is any connection to our primary work, but often end up just filing it. That seems to us to be a bit of a waste, so we have decided to publish that analysis here, so that it is accessible by a wider audience.
However, we are not a “news service”, so the frequency of items will be erratic, or even non-existent at times. Items could appear in odd sequences, be taken down again, apparently moved at random, and sometimes totally rewritten. We make no apology for this. It is simply an artefact of the analysis process.
Most of the reports you see here are roughly concerned with the 170 degree segment of the globe between Latitudes 60E and 130W; the time zones GMT+5 eastwards to GMT-9, although we will include other “stuff” of general interest, from time to time.
