Extrinsic is an organisation offering research and analysis services based around publicly available information and open source intelligence. We are particularly interested in matters of trade concerning “NZ Inc.”, and the impact that events in other countries might have on that trade.
As part of our intelligence work, we often find information that is of more general interest. We originally just filed it, but have now chosen to republish it here, so that it can be accessed by a wider audience.
However, it should be noted that we are not a “news service”, so posting frequency may be erratic at times, and items may be put up in odd sequences, taken down again, apparently moved at random, and sometimes totally rewritten, we may even make no posts at all for an extended period. We make no apology for this. It is simply a manifestation of the analysis process, and how busy we are.
Most of the reports you see here are roughly concerned with the 170 degree segment of the globe between Latitudes 60E and 130W; the time zones GMT+5 eastwards to GMT-9.
Extrinsic utilises its research and analysis skills in providing:
- Assistance in developing ongoing and incremental Strategic Business Plans;
- Identifying potential risks to, and possible opportunities for, our regular clients
- Strategic intelligence about world events that, in combination, may impact your ability to achieve your goals;
- Expertise in clarifying and resolving intractable problems (problems that can only be fully defined once their solution is known);
- Definition of Business Requirements for technology systems, from an information, function, and process viewpoint;
- Reviews of Information Technology systems, their quality, and their degree of fit into your current business environment; and
- Actionable intelligence analysis and interpretation, tailored to your specific needs.
Extrinsic also provides a range of other project-based services related to information usage, information management and information engineering.
We are based in Wellington, New Zealand.
